Argentina has the most developed hunting industry in South America and is known for world-class big game hunting, high-volume dove hunting, incredible waterfowl hunting, and great fishing. Red stag is probably the most popular big game species, but most hunters will also pursue other big game such as blackbuck, axis deer, fallow deer, water buffalo, mouflon sheep, multi-horn sheep, dall sheep, and wild boar.
Argentina also has some incredible wing-shooting opportunities. High-volume dove hunting will leave you with non-stop action. World-class duck hunting for many species and with generous bag limits abounds. And other wing-shooting species, such as pigeons and partridge, can give you some variety.
And for fun, you can often add a day or two of golden dorado fishing to a big game or wing shooting trip. For that matter, we can arrange big game and wing-shooting or fishing trips on the same journey with different outfitters, allowing you to experience all Argentina offers in one trip.
Our big game and red stag hunts occur primarily in the La Pampa region, accessed with short flights from Buenos Aires. Here, you can hunt free-range red stag and several other big game species on large private ranches.
Our wing-shooting trips occur in the Entre Rios and Santa Fe regions, a short drive northwest of Buenos Aires. Here, we can hunt all wing-shooting species and a few big game species and conduct fishing trips for golden dorado.
The Red Stag Roar takes place from early March through mid-April but can be hunted later in April and even May. Other big game species are hunted simultaneously, but we can sometimes add a few big game species when conducting wing shooting trips later in the year.
High-volume dove hunting can take place year-round. They typically fly all day, October through January, and fly good mornings and evenings the rest of the year.
Waterfowl hunting typically occurs from May through August, as does most of the hunting for partridge and pigeon.
Golden Dorado fishing is best from October through April, but still good the rest of the year, making a great cast and blast combo with dove hunting year-round.
Pursuing red stag hunting during the roar is a hunt you will remember. These hunts take place on premium free-range ranches with excellent trophies. These properties hold many red stag hinds and attract red stag bulls from miles around, resulting in intense roar action.
In addition to the red stag, these properties have blackbuck, fallow deer, axis deer, water buffalo, multi-horn rams, dall sheep, mouflon sheep, and wild boar.
Experienced guides with intimate knowledge of the ranch and all species’ habits will ensure a successful and enjoyable hunt. Most of the hunting is done by spot and stalk, accessing the ranch by 4×4 vehicle, then continuing on foot. Shots rarely exceed 300 yards with the rifle, and we have good ground blind and tree stand set-ups for bowhunters.
Lodging is first class with air-conditioned rooms, and the meals, which are chef-prepared, will be something to look forward to each evening.
Travel to camp is easy. You will fly to Buenos Aires and take a short flight to Santa Rosa, where the outfitter will meet you.
Our high-volume dove hunts can take place year-round and are a short drive from Buenos Aires. We can handle small or large groups on these hunts, and there are no bag limits – you can shoot 500 to 1000 rounds a day or even more! Good shotguns are available, and you can purchase ammo in camp. Adding waterfowl, partridge, pigeon, big game hunting, and even fishing for golden dorado in the Entre Rios region is easy. You will experience excellent lodging and extraordinary cuisine on these trips.
These hunts start in May and go through August in the Entre Rios and Santa Fe regions. Bag limits are unlike North America – you can shoot 100-175 rounds per day here! Rosy-billed pochard, leucistic speckled teal, fulvous whistlers, silver teal, black-headed, yellow-billed pintail, and several other species are available. We typically do both a morning and an afternoon shoot over productive marshes. We can handle small or large groups on these hunts. Adding doves, partridge, pigeons, big game hunting, and even fishing for golden dorado while waterfowl hunting is easy. You will experience excellent lodging and extraordinary cuisine on these trips.
Golden dorado are known for their aggressive nature, jumps, and stamina, making them a great fish to pursue. We target these fish year-round with peak season from October to April. Fish will typically weigh 5-20 pounds. Three people per boat make a fun day with your friends on the water. It is easy to add doves, partridge, pigeons, and big game hunting to your fishing trip. You will experience excellent lodging and extraordinary cuisine on these trips.
